We have an excellent opportunity for a Lean Process Engineer in our Troy, Ohio location.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

* Manage lean events/workshops identified through Value Stream Maps.

* Facilitate, document and audit Kaizen Events from the preparation through sustainment.

* Provide facility wide training as required to maintain a culture of continuous improvement with emphasis on visual controls and 5S.

* Act as the coordinator to functional teams in their efforts to identify & execute continuous improvement across their Value Stream.

* Work with area leaders for all Continuous Improvement activities to ensure that processes are measured, monitored and controlled through Standard work.

* Manage Action Plans and escalate issues in a timely manner.

* Introduces Lean Manufacturing concepts to manufacturing facility and helps the management ream with implementation.

* Conduct value stream mapping exercises to define processes; work with the team to implement or improve the use of LEAN tools, 5S, Six SIGMA, etc.

* Helps develop employee's lean skills through effective coaching, teaching, mentoring and simulated work environment training.

* Conduct observations and analyze data including downtime, cycle time, material waste, etc. in order to bring recommendations for improvement opportunities to the team.

* Tracks, communicates and shares all levels of results and lessons learned - ensures successes are published and communicated to all employees.

* Tracks performance, metrics and drives the benefits of continuous improvement.  Ensures results are sustainable.

* Facilitate and lead team activities and rapid improvement events as required.

* Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices while helping drive a zero harm culture.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline.

* Minimum of two years' experience in Continuous Improvement both as a team leader and facilitator.

* Proven experience with 5S and heavily lean environment.

* Project management skills.

* Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma to drive business results.

* Able to facilitate groups - Meetings/Trainings/Workshop setting.

* Comfortable generating presentations and templates using Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  Able to discuss differences openly and influence others.

* Ability to organize time in order to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.

* Effective inter-personal relation skills, while maintaining the adaptability to achieve company goals.

* Ability to verbally express ideas and facts in a clear, logical, concise and in acceptable grammatical style.

* Green belt required.
