Job Requirements of Product Manager - Marketing:
Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering. Relevant work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in product management.
• MS Office Suite
• Collaboration with customers
Not required but a plus:
• MBA
• Work experience in Manufacturing, Construction or Building Materials preferred.
• Experience with overhead rolling or sectional products strongly preferred
• Understanding of StageGate, PhaseGate, or similar NPD processes

Product Manager - Marketing
Cornell Cookson, a division of Clopay Corporation is currently recruiting within our Strategic Marketing Department for a Product Manager to develop, execute and own strategy for our commercial sectional product line. This will include developing a deep understanding of the assigned product and target segments to create plans for new product development efforts, product planning and promotional initiatives as well as product management responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker and have the skills to understand segment audiences and translate their needs into our product marketing business strategy.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
- Market research to identify new product and market opportunities and define them to the organization.
- Financial analysis, forecasts, pricing strategies and competitive analysis for new product initiatives.
- Collaborate with all departments to produce relevant and engaging marketing materials/collateral.
- Leading cross-functional teams to introduce new products to the market in accordance with launch schedules.
- Perform product portfolio management for assigned segment, identifying potential gaps and prospects within channels and markets.
- Gather competitive intelligence and amass for easy reference.
- Manage StageGate process for New Product Development initiatives.
- Act as the link between departments to communicate features and benefits to support marketing strategy.
- Work with Sales, Learning Development Team and Marketing Communications teams to develop effective marketing campaigns for launched products.
- Provide awareness and understanding of applications and use cases for product category.
- Assist in the development of marketing plans including product launches, technical documentation, demonstrations, and promotions as required.
