Shipping Administrator - Weekends
Clopay Building Products is North America's largest residential garage door manufacturer. We have an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Administrator- Part-time, in our Troy, Ohio, facility.
This position is working Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:
- Completes shipping paperwork, including domestic and customs/export, CODs, LTL loads, etc.
- Confirm, arrange, set up, and schedule trucks via telephone and internet-based systems, including LTL pickups.
- Serves as an interface between shipping and traffic, including drivers and dispatch.
- Prepares shipping labels and applies them to the product. Ensure shipments are properly packaged and identified.
- Enters data to complete the paperwork necessary for shipping, such as bills of lading, shipping orders, delivery instructions, etc.
- Handles calls from carriers and customers.
- Coordinates and communicates with different departments, carriers, and customers to ensure the smooth shipment of products.
- Contacts Quality, Production, and Traffic when mistakes are identified.
- Acts as liaison between Shipping department and other departments throughout the plant, i.e., Traffic, Production, and Receiving.
- Work closely with Customer Service to resolve shipping concerns.
- Analyze problems and develop solutions.
- Confirms daily schedule, then confirms with the carriers.
- Help verify out-bound loads
- Keep forms, office supplies, and shipping materials available for the shipping office.
- Assist with other office clerical and inventory processes as required.
